Some of the best breakdancers in the world are set to pop and lock at the Olympics — but it’s not the first time that the sport has taken the stage at the international games. As AP previously reported, Lionel Richie brought over 100 B-boys (including a 16-year-old Cuba Gooding Jr.) and B-girls during his closing ceremony show at the 1984 games in Los Angeles.
Athletes from over a dozen countries will break for the gold, including China, France, Japan, the Netherlands, South Korea, Ukraine and the United States. Many fans will have their eyes on Team USA’s Victor Montalvo (B-boy Victor), Logan Edra (B-girl Logistx), Sunny Choi (B-girl Sunny) and Jeffrey Louis (B-boy Jeffro).
