Diane Keaton’s First-Ever Eyewear Collection Is Fit for Annie Hall

Diane Keaton found herself in a fashion rut when her favorite frames were discontinued. The Emmy-winning style icon solved her sartorial problem herself — and made the result available to all — with her first-ever collection of eyewear.

Priced from $68 to $102, the Diane Keaton x Lookoptic collection comprises timeless readers in scratch-resistant standard or progressive lenses with clear or tinted options. The range includes solid and tortoise frames in glossy black, dark green, brown and taupe, and lenses are available in clear, green or blue tints and 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 and 3+ magnification.

They’re designed to fit all types of face sizes and shapes (including narrow ones), and the Italian spring hinges and wire-core temples make the frames comfy to wear. Eco-conscious eyewear enthusiasts will love that the glasses are made from 100 percent recycled metal and come with a recycled felt case.

“When you think of iconic women that wear glasses, there is no one more iconic than Diane Keaton,” Lookoptic founder Andrew Leary says in a statement. “When we reached out to see if she would be interested in a collaboration, we discovered her favorite style had been discontinued. So, together we reimagined the silhouette, adding tints and new [colorways] and the Keaton was born!”

The five-style eyewear collab with Lookoptic comes ahead of the 78-year-old Annie Hall star’s forthcoming book, Fashion First, which features a foreword by designer Ralph Lauren. Out on Rizzoli on Sept. 3, the 304-page tome features Keaton’s favorite — and “not-so-favorite” — fashion looks across the decades, from the handmade ensembles she made as a child to her red carpet and street style outfits from the ’60s through today.
